Trauma-Informed Yoga
Teacher Trainings
Online and in-person training rooted in real-world practice — built on nervous system safety, ethical practice, and real preparation to teach whoever walks into your room.
Since 2018, Bigger Life Adventures has brought trauma-informed yoga into studios, schools, treatment centers, and juvenile detention centers across seven countries. Our yoga teacher trainings carry that same lineage forward. Whether you’re ready for a full 200-hour immersion abroad or want to begin a trauma-informed yoga certification at home on your own schedule, every training here is built on nervous system safety, sustainable and ethical practice, and real preparation to teach the people who walk into your room — whoever they are and whatever they’re carrying.

Why Train With Bigger Life Adventures
Trauma-Informed at the Core
Every yoga class holds a room full of histories you can’t see from the front of the room. We don’t treat trauma-informed teaching as an add-on module — it’s the foundation of how we train teachers, over 16 hours online or across a full 200-hour immersion.
Sustainable, Ethical Travel and Business
Our in-person training is held at an off-grid, zero-waste farm that honors the Tz’utujil Mayan land it sits on. We also teach the business side honestly: how to build a yoga career that stays true to yogic ethics inside a capitalist world, not around it.
Learn From Teachers Who Live This Work
Carrie Hoffman, E-RYT 500, has served as the yoga provider for her county’s Juvenile Detention Center for years and has brought trauma-informed practice into treatment centers, schools, and retreats around the world. This isn’t theory pulled from a book.
A Sober, Supportive Container
Bigger Life Adventures has always been a recovery-aware, alcohol-free community. Every training is a space where you don’t have to explain yourself or navigate drinking culture, and where healing your own relationship to the practice is as welcome as learning to teach it.
