17 more days in the United States before flying to Colombia!

Hello followers.  Sorry we have been bad bloggers.  We are very busy preparing for the journey and collecting the last bits of equipment before flying to Colombia.  Today we purchased travel health insurance coverage and designed thanks you cards for those who donated.  Here is the updated checklist:

It’s time to start getting excited.  Almost there! We will be flying to Colombia before we know it!

EDIT 2024 – We land from this and got on a local bus into the city center. I thought I would be able to understand at least a little bit but I was doing really poorly in the Spanish department. Looking back I was really cocky and drastically under prepared.

Carrie said so and she was right. But she also put “write packing list” on the packing list. Now we can jump on a plane to Mexico or other destinations without thinking too much about it. Our Spanish is decent now, our bags never that unpacked. It’s so nice to not worry about things too much, just knowing that we can and will figure it out.

How do you plan for a big trip? Do you make a lot of lists or just throw it together and go?
