Hostal El Imposible Ecolodge in Parque Imposible, El Salvador
Hostal El Imposible Ecolodge offers rustic, solar-powered accommodation within walking distance of Parque Nacional El Imposible, El Salvador. Set on a beautiful hillside, the hostel features several cabins, each with a bathroom, fan, and a porch area with a hammock.
The facilities in Hostal El Imposible Ecolodge are simple but clean, with hot water and netting over the windows to keep the nighttime bugs at bay. There is a large solar array which charges batteries that keep the power flowing all night, and the shower water flows from a solar-heated tank on the roof of each cabin.
The Ecolodge also features Restaurante Ixcanal, serving a large menu of mostly local dishes. They also sell juice, beer, water, and sodas, along with a small selection of locally -produced honey and coffee. The staff can get you started on your hikes inside the park, along with helping you figure out how to catch a ride back to civilization.
Parque Imposible is a lush and tropical area full of wildlife and great hiking. It also doesn’t see a lot of tourists, so catch it now before the big rush to El Salvador.
